About the Film

Privacy People explores the varied interpretations of what privacy is and its importance to individuals and societies by focusing on the events that have raised cultural awareness of privacy and reflecting on the common refrain that privacy is dead. The story is told by some of the world’s most prominent privacy experts from government, industry, academia, and civil society. Beyond privacy as a concept, the film looks at how the privacy profession came to exist and the unique and prominent role women have played throughout the establishment and expansion of the field.
